I wake up on Sunday as I hear my phone. It was that sound that said "Mike needs something." He was having a GO! Teams Kenya meeting. So I naturally thought I forgot something he needed, I did. Sorry Diane. Anyway his text was about a Bible study he wanted Liz and I to speak to about our impending move to Arizona. He had mentioned it two weeks earlier. So naturally he text me at 8:30 a.m. The study begins at 10:00 a.m. We can make it.
We get there and Mike introduces us. It's time to talk. What am I going to say? I didn't prepare for this. Then it hits me. I have to, I mean, I get to speak to Ann St. Church of Christ the first Sunday we are in Australia, in a few weeks. I'll use what I have been working on.
I was able to tell 20 or so people why we are going to AZ.
At the end of our time I really felt it went great. Liz and Mike said it went great. I think I'm happy Mike didn't tell me sooner. Then I would have stressed about what I was going to talk about. This way it just sort of flows. Thanks Mike.
By the way when we get to Australia I could end up talking for quite a while. Let me just apologize now.
I know this is kind of a rambling story, but that is how I am feeling right now.
Thanks
Robert

This is a great week already. Why? GOD IS GOOD.
There are two women I know who became foster parents about two years ago. They are foster parents through an organization called Child Share. (Child Share seeks to find quality foster and adoptive homes for abused, abandoned and neglected children by working through local faith communities.)
Well, one of these women, we'll call her Joell had a little girl at her house, Anna, and this past weekend she was placed with a family trying to adopt her. WOW! Anna has parents. Yup, Anna has parents. God is good.
27 days 'till Australia. WOO HOO!

The Hills are alive with the Sound of Music....
Well, it has been 2 weeks now and I am just starting to get back to normal after our Churches production of The Sound of Music. “Normal” for me is having Sunday afternoon’s available for lunch with friends and/or family, Wednesday nights for “date” night with Robert. No more 3-4 hour rehearsals twice a week, the constant singing, straining my voice to do things I don’t think it knows how to do, sore throats, coughs, etc. No more learning Latin songs, Soprano, mezzo, alto, whatever other parts there were. No more standing aro
und the piano trying desperately to find the right note to start on in dead silence. No more going straight from work to dress rehearsals that last till 11:00-11:30pm (oh wait when was I suppose to have dinner?). No more wearing a habit, and a wimple, no more singing about Maria and how she is a “flibberty Jibbet.” No more butterflies (OK flying saucers) before going on stage, but wait…no more dancing backstage with my husband and our kids to “Confidence.” No more seeing Robert and his amazing talent on stage; making his fellow actors more comfortable and his ability to win over an audience and make them laugh. Picturing him 20+ years ago when we did shows in high school together and when I fell in love with him. No more watching Wayne step out of his shell and become a mean “Nazi,” Shelby dancing so confidently and elegantly in the party scene and being there for her friend helping her make quick changes backstage, no more listening to Kathryn’s beautiful voice singing a solo in Latin, Wayne and his girlfriend Jamie, dancing so sweetly together, the faces of the friends we have made, our amazing, hard working, dedicated and godly example director Jessica, our incredibly talented pianist Joe, awesome music director Shawnie…………I REALLY, REALLY miss it!
Australia Here We Come
Liz, Wayne and I are going to go to Australia at the end of June. This is going to be an amazing trip. How do I know? I saw the schedule. We are going to go to Eidsvold again. I can't wait. The kids there are amazing.
OK, just between you and me I don't really have a lot to say. Liz told me it was time to post so I thought I would give it a shot, but nothing is coming to mind. I mean I am excited about Australia. I love the people there, Craig & Ingrid (and the new baby soon, I hope he is born while we are there that would be so cool), Tim and Kylie, Daun and I hope to see Brett and Julie too. I know I didn't put everybody's name down, but I don't have enough room to write that many names. (St. John,Bonnie, Clinton) Oh and I get to speak at Ann St. on Sunday morning. They want me to talk about Arizona. (one of my favorite subjects) This will be the message. I know I love talking about Arizona I just hope they like hearing about it. (Thomas, Daniel, Hayden, Sam, Tyson) It looks like we might spend a night out in the "Bush"(Steve, Vanita, Elizabeth, Ayeesha) while we are in Eidsvold. Mike won't be there as he will be in the Solomon Islands. They are dedicating the "Pigin" Bible while we are in Australia and it just made sense for Mike to go. He will only be gone a few days.
Wow I had more to say than I thought. Look out Ann St. I may talk for an hour. (Des, Wayne, "Jimmy")
If you are in Australia I will see you all soon. If you aren't in Australia I will tell you all about it when I get back.

Thank you God!
This past weekend I was able to lead a team to the San Carlos Apache Reservation. What a great time. We were able to lay the floor in a house for a family whose trailer was burned down (gang retaliation for talking to police). We helped Zane and Danielle (two of the missionaries there) move into their home. We went out on the buses (youth and teen) sat in on the lessons and just got to hang out with some pretty amazing kids. For those of you who have been there it was a lot like hanging with the kids in Eidsvold, Australia but with an edge. If you've been to both you know what I mean and if you haven't we have a trip planned for AZ in November. (Tim, Craig I would love to take you guys with me. We'll talk.) Then on Saturday we had a BBQ at the youth home on the Rez. There were supposed to be ten kids the workers and their families. It turned out to be just two kids and two workers. The workers were inside with four babies so they couldn't be outside with us. I was very discouraged. Why would seventeen people (nine from KACC and the rest from ARM) go there for just two kids? I've learned not to question God. OK it's always after I question God that I learn not to question God. We got to love on Chantelle and Malachi like you wouldn't believe. I know God loves these two very special kids. How do I know? He sent seventeen people for them. This was one of the best times I have spent on the Rez. I will never forget Chantelle and Malachi. Thank you God!
Now for some bad news.
My friend Jason Pojar's mother is in the hospital and is gravely ill. They are going to remove her from life support on Thursday, May 1. Please pray for him and his family.
