The Hills are alive with the Sound of Music....

Well, it has been 2 weeks now and I am just starting to get back to normal after our Churches production of The Sound of Music. “Normal” for me is having Sunday afternoon’s available for lunch with friends and/or family, Wednesday nights for “date” night with Robert. No more 3-4 hour rehearsals twice a week, the constant singing, straining my voice to do things I don’t think it knows how to do, sore throats, coughs, etc. No more learning Latin songs, Soprano, mezzo, alto, whatever other parts there were. No more standing around the piano trying desperately to find the right note to start on in dead silence. No more going straight from work to dress rehearsals that last till 11:00-11:30pm (oh wait when was I suppose to have dinner?). No more wearing a habit, and a wimple, no more singing about Maria and how she is a “flibberty Jibbet.” No more butterflies (OK flying saucers) before going on stage, but wait…no more dancing backstage with my husband and our kids to “Confidence.” No more seeing Robert and his amazing talent on stage; making his fellow actors more comfortable and his ability to win over an audience and make them laugh. Picturing him 20+ years ago when we did shows in high school together and when I fell in love with him. No more watching Wayne step out of his shell and become a mean “Nazi,” Shelby dancing so confidently and elegantly in the party scene and being there for her friend helping her make quick changes backstage, no more listening to Kathryn’s beautiful voice singing a solo in Latin, Wayne and his girlfriend Jamie, dancing so sweetly together, the faces of the friends we have made, our amazing, hard working, dedicated and godly example director Jessica, our incredibly talented pianist Joe, awesome music director Shawnie…………I REALLY, REALLY miss it!

Australia Here We Come

Liz, Wayne and I are going to go to Australia at the end of June. This is going to be an amazing trip. How do I know? I saw the schedule. We are going to go to Eidsvold again. I can't wait. The kids there are amazing.
OK, just between you and me I don't really have a lot to say. Liz told me it was time to post so I thought I would give it a shot, but nothing is coming to mind. I mean I am excited about Australia. I love the people there, Craig & Ingrid (and the new baby soon, I hope he is born while we are there that would be so cool), Tim and Kylie, Daun and I hope to see Brett and Julie too. I know I didn't put everybody's name down, but I don't have enough room to write that many names. (St. John,Bonnie, Clinton) Oh and I get to speak at Ann St. on Sunday morning. They want me to talk about Arizona. (one of my favorite subjects) This will be the message. I know I love talking about Arizona I just hope they like hearing about it. (Thomas, Daniel, Hayden, Sam, Tyson) It looks like we might spend a night out in the "Bush"(Steve, Vanita, Elizabeth, Ayeesha) while we are in Eidsvold. Mike won't be there as he will be in the Solomon Islands. They are dedicating the "Pigin" Bible while we are in Australia and it just made sense for Mike to go. He will only be gone a few days.
Wow I had more to say than I thought. Look out Ann St. I may talk for an hour. (Des, Wayne, "Jimmy")
If you are in Australia I will see you all soon. If you aren't in Australia I will tell you all about it when I get back.

G'Day Mate
